Getting Around
The distance around the Park is roughly 185 miles and will take approximately 5 hours to drive.

National services are operated by City Link and National Express with bus stops along the A9 and in gateway villages. City Link and National Express operate services from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Bus time-tables vary throughout the year, so it’s advisable to contact the service operator to find out what their latest schedules are.
Some bus routes are operated on a hail-and-stop basis, so if you see a bus approaching, put out your hand and it will stop. In Grantown-on- Spey, there is a Dial-a-Bus service.

Summer bus service, the 501 Heather Hopper bus runs between Grantown-on-Spey and Ballater with two services a day seven days a week from 9 May to 30 September.

Bike Information
A National Cycle Network route runs through the Cairngorms National Park which runs from Inverness and heads south through the Park via Carr-Bridge, Aviemore, Kingussie, Newtonmore and Dalwhinnie. The route then makes its way south towards Pitlochry and Loch Lomond.
